We believe that the rights and privileges of church membership should be for those who are truly Christian and our official statement of belief is on the basis of a vital relationship with Jesus Christ. In brief, we believe:
- The Scriptures, the Old and the New Testament, are verbally inspired of God and without error in the original writings, and are completely authoritative.
- One God eternally exists in Three Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Man was created in the image of God, through disobedience he sinned and fell, and the entire human race shared in man’s sin and is corrupt by nature and lost.
- Satan is a person, a fallen creature who, by the permission of God, holds a position of great influence and power in human affairs.
- Jesus Christ is virgin born and He is God-man, Deity in the flesh.
- The death of Jesus Christ was both sacrificial and substitutionary; Christ died for sins and is the ransom for all.
- Jesus Christ arose bodily from among the dead, and He ascended into Heaven where He is exalted as Lord and Christ. He is the Head of the Church, and is the priestly advocate and intercessor. Christ’s second coming will be personal and premillennial, and is imminent.
- Salvation is a gift of God made possible for man by grace. It is received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and this faith is demonstrated by the believer doing works that are pleasing to God.
- The Holy Spirit is a Person. He causes the believer to be born again, energizes, and empowers them for godly living and for spiritual service. The Holy Spirit comes to live within the believer at the moment of faith in Christ, and the believer is commanded to be filled with the Spirit.
- All believers since the death, burial and resurrection of Christ are members of the Body of Christ, the Church. The Holy Spirit baptized them into the Body at the moment they trusted in Christ for salvation.
- All believers are called into a life of separation from all worldly and sinful practices.
- It is God’s plan that the world be evangelized by the Church through the preaching of the Gospel of Christ. This witnessing is the obligation of all who believe in Jesus Christ.
- There is eternal damnation and punishment for all who do not repent and are unsaved.
